The first annual LIC Arts Open, a celebration of the thriving arts community in Long Island City, Queens, will take place on May 14th-22nd, 2011.

As part of the LIC Arts Open, hundreds of artists are opening their studios and art to the public around Long Island City on May 21st & 22nd from 12-6pm, and it’s FREE! Check out the listings here.

The LIC Arts Open is organized by the LIC Arts Open organization, a collaboration of arts entities, businesses and individuals seeking to spotlight the diverse artistic community in Long Island City, Queens.

Getting there:
Long Island City is the westernmost neighborhood of Queens in New York City. It’s one stop away from Manhattan and easily accessible by the 7, E, F, G, M, N, Q and R trains.
